History, Qualifications, and Experience
Footprints Carolina was formed in response to the need to provide a seamless transition of case management services for customers, who previously received services from various county and regional developmental disability and mental health Area Authorities. This transition was a key element of North Carolina's State Plan for mental health services.
Footprints has been in a unique position to provide this service because our leadership and our staff are highly skilled and experienced. Most have previously served as case managers, support staff and administrators with various public and voluntary agencies, bringing their experience and knowledge of local community resources.
Our staff understand the needs and challenges of customers and their families, and recognize that respecting the rights of the persons we serve must be paramount. Delivering quality services must be customer centered, self-directed and enhance their quality of life.
We further believe our service must utilize our customers' “natural” resources and include effective collaboration with other service providers to assist them in living full lives in their communities.
Priority is placed on making our services available and accessible to customers. The locations of the corporate and service offices, the time periods that the staff are available and caseload size are designed primarily to respond to our customers' needs.
We believe our customers are served best by staff, who are treated fairly, are well trained, have clear job expectations and who work in an atmosphere conducive to personal growth and professional respect. We further believe that, with the talents and resources of Footprints Carolina, we can provide quality case management services to everyone we serve.
